- Preheat oven 350°f
- Cube bread, put in large bowl and set aside
- Beat eggs, milk, half and half, sugar, salt, and vanilla together. Pour over bread, and let sit 5-10 minutes

- Pour half of the bread mixture into 8x8 pan
- Top with half of the pecan mixture

- Place on pan on cookie sheet (with raised edges) in case of boil over. Bake for 45-55 minutes. Center will be slightly wiggly but will set as it cools.
